I’ll have to add that I feel great and energetic. Eat tons of raw vegetable and fruits. Take bunch of supplements too. That along with the gym (5 days when I can) and got rid of husband is really helpful.

Actually high fat foods always make me gain, even when I was younger. And no way could I handle cutting out carbs. I’ve always been slender. Only got a little chunky after having 3 kids and getting no exercise. But then we moved and I joined a gym. I entered a challenge, had planned to get my weight down to 122-125 in about 5-6 months, but only lost 8 Lbs but those were permanent Lbs. Then I got hooked on working out and my weight stayed around 127-128 for several years, then divorce and I put on weight…not yet over but I eat a lot and still don’t weigh more than 134 or so.
As for myself, yes it’s muscle loss for sure, but weight gain not so much. I do snack a lot, often late which is a bad habit. But I fit in all my clothes still and I’m not overweight.
The terrible scenario she paints up in this video seems a bit exaggerated. I personally didn’t experience any drastic obesity or huge appetite change bc of menopause. I’m pretty much the same as before, but w less muscle, but strong legs, I’m at gym taking cardio kickboxing classes several times a week. Some weight lifting too. But yes harder to gain muscle, but my endurance is amazing and I’m still rather slender.

I hear a lot about increasing soy…the only problem is I can't. Breast cancer left my on estrogen blockers and a rule to avoid soy…so what now?? I feel like it's a catch 22 and I have no idea what to do now?? Also had my gallbladder removed and have to limit my fats a bit or my stomach will revolt…what the heck?

Cori, I am thrilled to have found your videos! This video was informative. I'm wondering though about the increase in soy as a source of protein as large amounts of soy in some women's diets has also been thought to be linked with incidences of breast cancer in some cases. I'd love to hear your thoughts and look forward to following your excellent advice and instructions! Thanks so much!
